S01E04 New Orleans, 1984. A young delinquent is killed accidentally by his accomplice during a robbery attempt. George Toca is his best friend. He is arrested, sentenced to life imprisonment and sent to the harshest penitentiary of Louisiana. He is 17 year-old then. When “The Innocence Project” New Orleans decides to take on the case, the lawyers find that the accusation does not make sense. For 11 years, they fight to have him freed, in vain. In January 2015, they are made an offer: if George pleads guilty, he will be freed right away. George has been in prison for 30 years then. What should he do? Give up with proving his innocence forever, or take the risk of staying incarcerated until the end of his life?
